Seth Binzer, who performed under the stage name Shifty Shellshock, passed away on June 24, 2024, at the age of 49. Binzer was best known as the lead singer of the rap-rock band Crazy Town, which rose to fame in the late 1990s with their hit song "Butterfly."

Early Life and Career

Seth Binzer was born on August 23, 1974, in Los Angeles, California. He adopted the stage name Shifty Shellshock in the early 1990s and began performing with Crazy Town in 1995. The band's debut album, "The Gift of Game," was released in 1999 and spawned the hit single "Butterfly," which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Crazy Town went on to release three more albums before disbanding in 2003.

After Crazy Town's breakup, Binzer pursued a solo career and appeared on reality television shows such as "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" and "Sober House." He also continued to perform live with a new version of Crazy Town, which reunited in 2017.

Binzer's death was confirmed by a representative for the band, who said that he passed away peacefully in his sleep. The cause of death has not yet been released.

Binzer is survived by his wife, Monica, and their two children.
